Records (LP's, Singles, 78's, etc.)
Cleaning Records.

Question: What low cost record cleaning method do you recommend?

Answer: The best method is to keep the records as clean as possible to begin with.
Then the use one of those foam backed bars, that are covered with velvet and clean before each play. I use coarser ones for 78's and finer ones for microgroove.
Some companies advertise carbon brushes.

Dirty records can be cleaned with warm water and just a drop of cleaner (different people use different things) then dried. Always clean in the direction of the grooves.

But I am certain there are many other different methods and discussions about them that can be found at various places on the web.
